Request TOIL from overtime

Bank TOIL against the month you earned overtime. It reduces the pay for that work period once. Taking the leave later only reduces your bank balance.

Available TOIL

0 hrs

Leave already banked can be taken in a later month without a second pay deduction.

Pay and payroll settings

The forecast uses simplified 2026/27 UK PAYE and NI estimates (Northern Ireland / England / Wales rates). It is not a payroll or tax advice service. Non-cumulative and complex tax codes, tax-year-to-date adjustments, Scottish rates, student loans and some pension arrangements need further work.

Custom overtime rates

Edit labels and multipliers freely. Decimals are preserved while typing. Existing logged shifts retain the rate used when entered.

Other deductions

Fixed amounts per pay period. Choose whether a deduction is taken before PAYE/NI (salary sacrifice), before PAYE only, or after tax.

Payslip accuracy score

When the payslip arrives, record actual take-home to see how close the forecast was. A snapshot of the current prediction is saved alongside it.

Backup and restore

Your entries are stored in this browser on this device. Export a backup regularly, especially before clearing browser data or changing phones.

Data management

ShiftWise v0.3 beta · Independent, unofficial pay-estimation tool. No connection to any employer, HMRC, NHS or government department. Last-working-day calculations exclude weekends but do not yet exclude bank holidays. Four-weekly cycles use a configurable anchor date. Your data remains in your browser unless you export it.
